WHAT ARE THE WOODSHOP HOURS?
NORMAL OPERATING HOURS
Normal operating hours vary by season. Here are the scheduled operating hours.
POLICY ON USE OF WOODSHOP OUTSIDE OF NORMAL OPERATING HOURS
The Woodshop can be fully used (all power equipment) during other hours if two people are present, provided that one of them is a Monitor. In no case may power equipment be used without a Monitor present.
SVE has a DAS (Door Access System) for which every member has been issued an access FOB that can be carried on one's keychain. For some rooms, access is open to all members. This is not the case for the Woodshop, because of the safety and liability issues. Only the Woodshop Board members and Woodshop Monitors have door-unlocking access to the Woodshop. Board members and Woodshop monitors have access to the Woodshop Monday through Saturday from 0500 to 2200 hours and on Sunday from 0500 to 1700 hours. If you are not a designated monitor or a Woodshop Board member, you will not have access to the Woodshop, without a monitor. A non-monitor woodshop member will need to coordinate with one of the monitors to access the woodshop during non-scheduled woodshop hours.
Designated daily monitors should be the first person(s) into the Woodshop to open it up. If a monitor enters the Woodshop on a day other than their designated-monitor day before the scheduled monitor opens the Woodshop, that individual must assume monitor responsibilities until the designated monitor shows up. (In other words, if you are not the scheduled monitor for a shift, and enter the Woodshop before the scheduled monitor, TAG, YOU'RE IT! You are responsible for all persons who enter the Woodshop until the designated monitor arrives.)
IF YOU USE THE WOODSHOP YOU MUST SIGN IN AND OUT
If you enter the Woodshop to work, during regularly scheduled hours or at any other time, it is mandatory that you sign in and out, so the Woodshop has a record of who was in the Woodshop at any given time. Print your name and telephone number ledgibly, so Woodshop Officers can identify you.
